Val is one of the Dental Administrators /Hygiene Coordinator at Strathcona Dental Works. She is the smiley face you see when you enter our clinic!! Val has a passionate about making sure every patient feels comfortable upon check in and truly enjoys the collaborative nature of our team and the opportunity to help our patients achieve a healthy/happy dental experience. When she’s not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and grandkids. Val is also an active hiker biker and loves exploring the great outdoors.
Roberta joined the Strathcona dental team in 2024, bringing 15 years of experience in the dental industry. As a treatment coordinator, she is passionate about guiding patients through their treatment journey, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and comfortable.
Her goal is to make your dental experience as positive and stress free as possible from the initial consultation to post-treatment care. When she’s not in the office, Roberta enjoys an active lifestyle. She’s an avid hiker and love to explore everything the mountains have to offer.
With 13 years of experience, Kahla is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care in a compassionate and comfortable environment. She loves connecting with her patients and her passion for helping them maintain their oral health comes through in every appointment. Kahla believes in delivering thorough care while ensuring her patients feel at ease during their visits. Outside of the office, Kahla enjoys spending quality time with her family, including her husband, two children, and their dogs. She loves time spent together, whether at home or enjoying outdoor adventures like skiing, cycling or time out on the lake.
Darlene is a graduate of the Dental Hygiene Program in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta. With over 30 years of experience, she brings a high level of expertise and attention to detail to her practice. She values the individuality of each patient and takes pride in building professional relationships that support personalized care and positive health outcomes. Outside of work, Darlene enjoys walking along the Bow River with her dogs, exploring new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time in her garden. Most of all, she cherishes time spent with her family.
Kathy was born in Winnipeg Manitoba and is a Friendly Manitoban at heart. She graduated from CDI with honours and serves on various volunteer committees helping to give back to her CDI Alumni and Dental Assisting Profession as well as within the Calgary community. She is passionate about engaging with people and makes every effort for patients to have an enjoyable experience. You can often hear her say "Come On Down" wearing a smile, and you might even get treated to some chair side trivia! When she is not at work you can find her discussing the latest page turner at Book Club, exploring Alberta to capture the perfect picture, or creating new culinary creations to share with friends and family.
Meghan has had the pleasure of working as a dental assistant for a few years now. She graduated with distinction from Columbia College in 2023. What she loves the most about dental assisting is building relationships with patients — she truly enjoys connecting with everyone and assisting patients with their dental care. Outside of work, Meghan loves spending time with her family, friends, two dogs and cats. She loves to travel! Meghan is also an outdoors enthusiast and enjoy activities like running, hiking, snowboarding, and camping.
After graduating from dental school in Edmonton in 2017, Becky moved to Calgary to begin her career and has been passionate about patient care ever since. She chose the dental field because of her desire to help people—whether that means making them feel at ease during their appointments or helping them walk out with a confident smile. Known for her ability to make meaningful connections with patients, she brings compassion and a calming presence to the clinic. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending quality time with her family.
Please be advised that our clinic will resume seeing patients on Tuesday June 2,2020. However at this time our clinic will only be able to see patients Tuesdays to Fridays and will remain closed Saturday and Mondays.
